From July 1 onward, it was a folkfest binge time, sometimes playing 3 festivals in 3 different places, with 3 different bands, in the same weekend! Highlights include meeting David Grisman and his son at Worldfest in California, re-uniting with my first fiddle teacher Daniel Lapp in a jazz workshop at the Comox Music fest, playing “The Cat Came 
Back” with Fred Penner at Blueskies, playing my tune “Caboose” at the Vancouver Folk Fest with the Confabulation joined by a killer 15-piece Colombian Salsa group, and Kevin Breit joining the Opposites for our entire Saturday night set at Red Rock’s folk fest.
