After what felt like a decade of living in airports, I’ve landed back in Toronto with just enough time to empty out my inbox, and sweet-mother-of-macintosh, if there wasn’t a couple of Canadian Folk Music Awards waiting for me! That rascal of an album Manic Almanac got me nominated for “Best Instrumental Solo Artist of the Year” and “Pushing the Boundaries”. Despite the fact that the list of nominees looks strangely similar to the list of who I invited to my bar mitzvah, this is a great honour. Many of my dear friends, and big influences are in the same catogories as myself, so it’s a win-win situation!

Lastly, my return to India is just around the corner! I have no idea what to expect with this new collaboration between myself and the Rajasthani Gypsy group “The Nomadic Orchestra of the Wold”, but with a portable recording studio in one suitcase, and a moogerfooger ring mod in the other, only good
